Erykah Badu Stars in New Film The Land, Nas Executive Producing and Producing Soundtrack

The Land is a new independent drama starring Erykah Badu that will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Directed by Steve Caple Jr., the film focuses on four Cleveland teenagers with dreams of professional skateboarding who get ensnared in a drug operation. As Variety reports, Nas  is executive producing the film and producing the soundtrack.

In addition to Badu, The Land also features Michael K. Williams (“The Wire”, “Boardwalk Empire”) and Cleveland rapper Machine Gun Kelly.
