Father John Misty Shares “Real Love Baby”: Listen

Recently, Father John Misty has made some “rejected” promos for Pandora, wrote lyrics to the “House of Cards” theme song, and shared a demo ostensibly intended for a Toyota Prius commercial. Tonight, he’s back with another new song, though this one seems to be free of brand loyalty. It’s called “Real Love Baby.” On SoundCloud, he shared this two-word missive to accompany the song: “why not.” Check it out below. Update (2:50 p.m.): Father John Misty has tweeted that “Real Love Baby” will not be on his next record. He also said that Thomas Brenneck of the Budos Band plays guitar on the song. See his tweet below.

RLB is not on the record, it’s just a thing. Tommy from The Budos Band on guit. Have a good summer
