Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold Gives Sweater to “Fuck Yeah Robin Pecknold’s Sweater” Tumblr Creator

In 2011, Fleet Foxes released their most recent LP–the excellent Helplessness Blues. That same year, someone created a Tumblr page dedicated to a particular sweater owned by frontman Robin Pecknold. Appropriately, it’s called “Fuck Yeah Robin Pecknold’s Sweater.” This past May, Pecknold participated in a Reddit AMA in which he gave an update on the garment, as Stereogum points out. He wrote that he had not worn his famed sweater in five years, but he has “brought it with [him] dutifully everywhere [he’s] moved.” He also wrote that he was trying to get in touch with the Tumblr page founder to give that person the sweater.

Recently, Pecknold posted a photo of the sweater on his Instagram, commenting that it was on its way to the “editor in chief” of the fansite, and that he was “excited to see the sweater in new #situations expanding its #horizons beyond being #cozy on [his] #folkback.” After one last photo with the sweater on his #folkback, it has found its new home. See Pecknold’s final photos with the sweater, as well as the latest shot of the “Fuck Yeah” creator in her new apparel, below.
