Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein Form Southern Rock Band on “SNL”: Watch
When Fred Armisen was a cast member on “Saturday Night Live,” he created fake bands and artists like the Blue Jean Committee and Ian Rubbish. Last night, when Armisen returned to the show to host the show’s season finale, he fronted a new fictional band: the Harkin Brothers. It’s a massive Southern rock group featuring Armisen, his “Portlandia” co-star Carrie Brownstein, Andy Samberg, Larry David, Maya Rudolph, Jason Sudeikis, and pretty much all of the “SNL” cast. The episode also featured two performances from Courtney Barnett and a new digital short from the Lonely Island.
