Future’s “Might as Well” Samples Arcade Fire and Owen Pallett

Future released his new self-titled album on Friday and one of the standout tracks is “Might as Well.” In a surprise twist, the song samples Arcade Fire and Owen Pallett’s “Owl,” which appeared on the soundtrack to Spike Jonze’s 2013 romantic sci-fi drama Her, as Arcade Fire Tube points out. Find the credit and both songs below.

As previously reported, FUTURE also includes the song “High Demand,” in which Future raps, “We do a whole lotta numbers, yeah/Grab on that pussy like Donald, yeah.” The lyric is in reference to lewd comments Donald Trump made about women, captured in a 2005 recording that was released in the lead-up to the election.
