Governors Ball Cancels Day Three (Kanye West, Death Cab for Cutie) Due to Inclement Weather

Organizers of Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City have cancelled the third day of the festival due to “severe weather and a high likelihood of lightning in the area.” The festival initially announced that door times for Sunday would be delayed and asked for fans not to come to Randall’s Island Park until a further update was posted. Today’s performers included Kanye West, Death Cab for Cutie, Courtney Barnett, Chvrches, Two Door Cinema Club, Vince Staples, and the newly formed Prophets of Rage. The organizers have announced that all ticket-holders who bought tickets through the Gov Ball website will receive a refund, with three-day pass holders to receive a pro-rated refund.
