Grammys 2017: Adele Wins Record of the Year

Adele has won Record of the Year at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. “Hello” picked up the victory over songs by Beyoncé, Rihanna, Twenty One Pilots, and Lukas Graham. As she walked to the mic, she immediately turned the floor over to producer Greg Kurstin, who had been cut off during his Song of the Year speech. She shouted out Beyoncé, she called “Queen B” her idol and said, “I adore you. I want you to be my mommy.”

Tonight, Adele also won Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album. Earlier in the show, she performed “Hello” and also took a moment to restart her performance of George Michael’s “Fastlove” during a tribute to the late icon.
