Grammys 2017: Chance the Rapper, Drake Win Rap Grammys

Chance the Rapper, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, and Drake have picked up some rap category trophies at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. Chance the Rapper, 2 Chainz, and Lil Wayne won Best Rap Performance for “No Problem.” During Chance’s speech (where he wore his “Thank You Obama” clothes), he said, “Shit, this is crazy” and thanked presenter Jimmy Jam. Drake won the awards for Best Rap/Sung Performance and Best Rap Song for “Hotline Bling.” Watch Chance’s speech, and see a congratulatory text that Drake apparently sent Chance, below.

Drake, Kanye, Jay Z, Schoolboy Q, Desiigner, Fat Joe & Remy Ma were all up for Best Rap Performance. Beyoncé, Kendrick, D.R.A.M., Kanye, Chance, and Rihanna were up for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Kanye, Chance, Fat Joe & Remy Ma were the other nominees for Best Rap Song.
