Grammys 2017: Chance the Rapper Wins Best Rap Album

Chance the Rapper won Best Rap Album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards tonight. Coloring Book beat out Kanye’s The Life of Pablo, Drake’s ViewsDe La Soul’s and the Anonymous Nobody…, Schoolboy Q’s Blank Face LP, and DJ Khaled’s Major Key. Chance was nominated for six other awards tonight, including Best New Artist (which he won) and Best Rap Performance, which he won for “No Problem.” Check out his acceptance speech below.

Last year, the Recording Academy changed the rules of Grammy eligibility so that streaming-only releases like Coloring Book could be considered; Chance later took out an adorable ad asking for consideration.
