Bob Weir, formerly of the Grateful Dead (and currently of Dead & Company), is releasing his first new solo record in a decade. It’s called Blue Mountain, and it’s out September 30 via Columbia/Legacy Recordings. Blue Mountain is Weir’s first album of entirely new material in 30 years. Produced alongside Josh Kaufman, the album features a songwriting collaboration with Josh Ritter and performances from The National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessner, as well as Scott Devendorf.
