Grimes Shares Holiday Song/Video "Christmas Song II (Grinch)"

The next time you want to avoid holiday chores, follow Grimes‘ lead – team up with your step-brother to make a wacky music video. Yesterday, the singer took to her Tumblr to premiere “Christmas Song II (Grinch)”, a festive, hastily-arranged song and video crafted alongside her step-brother, Jay Worthy. The clip showcases a family celebration that entails gas masks, axes, and the 3DS game Bravely Default.

According to the singer, “Christmas Song II (Grinch)” is “NOT a single from the upcoming album, not a serious piece of art in any capacity and not an official Grimes release” – just a little bit of holiday cheer from Claire Boucher and company (the original “Christmas Song”, also featuring Worthy, was included on the iTunes release of Visions as a bonus track). Below, check out the video and Grimes’ accompanying message.

happy holidayz

first off this song contains swearing so it might not be all ages

Anyway – i like to periodically release songs since my album is taking so long and i make a lot of songs that i wouldn’t put on an album but i nonetheless enjoy so thats what this is.

me and my step bro jay worthy make an annual christmas song with our siblings in order to avoid obligatory dinner. this is NOT a single from the upcoming album, not a serious piece of art in any capacity and not an official grimes release

also —made this song in prob less than 2 hours so please excuse my terrible production, + it is not mixed or mastered.
