Ice Cube Planning N.W.A. Reunion for Coachella

Ice Cube is set to perform at this year’s Coachella on April 16 and 23. He might be bringing a few friends along with him. As Hot New Hip-Hop points out, on a recent appearance on “The Talk,” Cube said “I got some tricks up my sleeve” for Coachella.

“I’m gonna try to bring the members of  N.W.A. together,” Cube said, adding that he’d like to “give everybody a little history lesson on Ice Cube and N.W.A., Westside Connection, everything I’ve been doing over the years.” He also promised “some great visuals.” 

Last year, Ice Cube, MC Ren, and DJ Yella reunited as N.W.A. for the first time in two decades at the BET Experience in Los Angeles. (Dr. Dre did not join them.) This past July, a Universal Pictures executive alluded to a possible N.W.A. reunion tour with Eminem, though representatives for both Eminem and Dr. Dre denied it.
