Iggy Pop Announces The Idiot, Lust for Life, TV Eye Live Vinyl Reissues

Iggy Pop has announced 40th anniversary vinyl reissues of his first three solo albums: The Idiot,  Lust for Life, and the live collection TV Eye. All three records were released in 1977 and feature contributions from David Bowie. (He produced and co-wrote for The Idiot and Lust for Life and played keyboards on TV Eye.) The albums have all been remastered from the original analog tapes for the first time and will be issued on colored vinyl. The reissues are due out June 2, and they can be pre-ordered here along with a limited edition tote bag featuring the artwork for Lust for Life and The Idiot. Check out images of the records below.

Recently, Iggy Pop was featured in a new interview with Lars Ulrich on Rolling Stone, in which the two discuss the late Lou Reed. In the video, Iggy discusses his first time meeting Reed and his thoughts on Lulu, Reed’s polarizing collaborative album with Metallica. Check out the clip here, and head over to Metallica’s site for the full interview.
