Iggy Pop, Grace Jones, Henry Rollins to Star in Silent Movie Gutterdämmerung

Gutterdämmerung is billed as “the loudest silent movie on Earth”. The film, helmed by Belgian-Swedish director Bjorn Tagemose, will feature a score provided by a live rock band. BEAT reports that the film will star Iggy PopGrace Jones, Henry Rollins, and Eagles of Death Metal‘s Jesse Hughes.

The film, described as a “loud and dark fairy tale,” sounds pretty bananas. To give you an idea, Iggy Pop plays a punk rock angel called Vicious. Henry Rollins plays a puritan priest. Grace Jones controls the testosterone of the evil rock’n’roll masses. It’s centered around Satan’s guitar. Watch the just-announced stars talk about the film in the video below, and check out some promotional shots of what each of them look like in the movie.

More of the film’s stars will be revealed in the coming weeks here.

It was revealed last year that Iggy Pop would play a serial killer in a film called The Sandman.
