Interpol, Hundred Waters Stuck in Snowstorm for Almost Two Days Straight, Tweet Through It

On Tuesday, a gigantic storm dropped six feet of snow on the Buffalo area. Hundreds of people have been trapped inside their homes or their cars, with dozens of schools closing until further notice. Four people have died. Interpol were on their way to play a show in Toronto on Tuesday, when they got stuck in the storm. They have since been stranded in their bus for over 40 hours.

The band’s Daniel Kessler, along with touring member Brandon Curtis, have been tweeting about the delay from inside their bus, as Stereogum points out.

The band hasn’t updated since then. They were traveling from Columbus, Ohio, where they’d played on Monday night. (The route to Toronto, from Columbus, passes through the Buffalo area.) Currently, they’re scheduled to play in Montreal on Thursday night.

Interpol’s tourmates, Hundred Waters, have also been ensnared by the weather:

Conditions are expected to improve this weekend, when the New York area experiences an uptick in temperature.
