Iron & Wine Announces New Archives 12” Vinyl

Iron & Wine has announced a new 12” single, Archive Series Volume No. 3. The third installment in Sam Beam’s ongoing archival series features two songs (“Stranger Lay Beside Me,” “Miss Bottom of the Hill”) that date back to 2009-10. It will be available for this year’s Record Store Day (April 22), pressed on blue vinyl and limited to 2,000 copies via Iron & Wine’s Black Cricket Recording Co. imprint. To make matters more exciting, five copies of the single will be packaged with a “Golden Ticket,” awarding fans lifetime entry into all future Iron & Wine shows. (That’s a 1/400 chance of winning!) Check out a preview video below, and find the complete list of Record Store Day exclusives here.

The first release in Iron & Wine’s archive series was released in 2015; its follow-up was a 7” single later that year.
