Janelle Monáe Dances in Super Bowl Pepsi Commercial
During Super Bowl 50, Pepsi will premiere a new commercial starring Janelle Monáe. The clip features Monáe dancing across time, sporting moves from the ’60s and ’80s (and the outfits to match—check out her early Madonna look) before arriving at a club in the present day. In addition to the Contours’ “Do You Love Me” and Madonna‘s “Express Yourself,” the ad includes a new version of the Pepsi jingle sung by Monáe. Check it out below.
Monáe isn’t the only musician with a Super Bowl spot this year: Lil Wayne and Drake will appear in ads for Apartments.com and T-Mobile, respectively.
