Jason Molina’s Career Chronicled in New Book

On May 15, Rowman & Littlefield will publish a new biography about Jason Molina called Jason Molina: Riding with the Ghost. Written by Erin Osmon with participation from Molina’s family, friends, bandmates, and record label, the book is a “critical examination of the life and work of the man behind Songs: Ohia and Magnolia Electric Co.,” according to a press release. Molina died in March 2013. Secretly Canadian is offering limited-edition bundles with an LP of Molina’s first radio session at Oberlin College in 1994, where he performed early versions of Songs: Ohia songs along with other unreleased material.
