Three labels that are major purveyors of garage rock—Castle Face, In the Red, and Famous Class—have announced a joint effort to raise money for charities by auctioning off rare vinyl test presses. To sweeten the deal, some of the records are autographed and some feature original artwork by the artists. The auctions are going on until March 22 here, here, and here.
Here’s some of what’s up for grabs:
Castle Face’s proceeds are going to Pathway Recuperative Care, who provide outpatient care for the homeless of Los Angeles. Famous Class and In the Red are supporting the Save the Music Foundation, which provides funding for elementary and middle school music education.
