Jay Reatard, Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees, Parquet Courts, Black Lips Test Presses Getting Auctioned for Charity

Three labels that are major purveyors of garage rock—Castle Face, In the Red, and Famous Class—have announced a joint effort to raise money for charities by auctioning off rare vinyl test presses. To sweeten the deal, some of the records are autographed and some feature original artwork by the artists. The auctions are going on until March 22 herehere, and here.

  • The King Khan & BBQ Show’s Bad News Boys
  • Mikal Cronin’s split 7″ with Wand
  • Oblivians’ Barristers ’95 live LP
  • The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion’s Jukebox Explosion
  • Fuzz’s Live in San Francisco and split 7″ wiht CCR Headcleaner
  • White Fence’s Cyclops Reap and Live in San Francisco
  • The Fresh & Onlys’ Play It Strange
  • John Dwyer’s Damaged Bug LP
  • Brian Chippendale and Greg Saunier’s collaborative LP

Castle Face’s proceeds are going to Pathway Recuperative Care, who provide outpatient care for the homeless of Los Angeles. Famous Class and In the Red are supporting the Save the Music Foundation, which provides funding for elementary and middle school music education.
