Jeremih shared a surprise new EP in celebration of Cinco de Mayo yesterday. Entitled Cinco De MihYo, the five-track project features songs with Spanish titles like “Papasito” and “Mi Amore.” In a press release, Jeremih explained the quick and spontaneous process of putting together the EP: “I was inspired by the holiday and put this project together in the last 24 hours,” he said. “I walked in the studio and my producer Bongo [ByTheWay] was playing some guitar vibes. After a few shots of tequila and some good company, I decided to do something different for my fans.” Listen below.
This past Christmas, Jeremih and Chance the Rapper released a surprise mixtape called Merry Christmas Lil Mama. Jeremih is now working on the follow-up to 2015’s Late Nights: The Album and last year’s Late Nights: Europe mixtape. It will include previously-released “I Think of You,” featuring Big Sean and Chris Brown.
