Jon Hopkins is the latest artist to share an Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1. The two-hour mix features an unreleased Hopkins song called “Interlude”, plus material from Dan Deacon, Clark, Panda Bear, Boddika & Joy Orbison, and others. Find the tracklist below, and listen here.
Hopkins has also shared a batch of world tour dates, including a just-announced show tonight at Glasslands in Brooklyn.
He said of the mix:
“It feels amazing to be part of a mix series that has been going for 20 years, and to join a line up that has included so many people whose music i admire. I put a lot of work into this, trying to showcase the tracks that have influenced my recent album and live shows, and trying to build a real musical structure and journey over the 2 hours. I really hope everyone enjoys it.”
Caribou, Joy Orbison, and Duck Sauce have recently shared entries in the Essential Mix series.
