Justin Timberlake Contributing New Music to Trolls Animated Movie, Voicing One of the Trolls

Justin Timberlake has signed on to write and perform new music for the upcoming DreamWorks Animation movie Trolls, based on the iconic toy franchise, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In addition, Timberlake will also serve as the film’s executive music producer – and voice one of the film’s troll protagonists. Directed by Mike Mitchell and Walt Dorhn and also starring the voice of Anna Kendrick, Trolls is currently slated for a November 4 release.

“I have always envisioned bringing the two worlds of film and music together for one epic event [and] couldn’t be more excited that they will collide in DreamWorks’ Trolls,” Timberlake told The Hollywood Reporter. “This film is very special, the music is going to be very special and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it all.”

Justin Timberlake’s last album, The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2, came out in 2013.
