Kanye Explains Trump Meeting

This morning, Kanye West walked into Trump Tower and met with President-elect Donald Trump, whom he loudly supported at his most recent concerts. They posed for photos with the press, and West refused to take questions about a potential presidential run in 2020. Now, West has explained why he met with Trump. See his tweets below.

Last month, Kanye declared mid-concert that he “would’ve voted on Trump” had he gone to the polls. He also called Trump’s approach to the election “absolutely genius.” The comments preceded a tough month for the rapper. At the following concert, he lashed out against friends and politicians, and ultimately canceled the remainder of the tour. He was then admitted to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation, where he stayed for more than a week.
