Kanye, Once Again, Is Updating The Life of Pablo in Tidal

Kanye West‘s The Life of Pablo started out as a Tidal exclusive. For a while, Kanye insisted that the album wouldn’t be available on any other platform. Eventually, the album became available on all major streaming services. Tonight, something puzzling happened: The Life of Pablo disappeared from Tidal while remaining available on Spotify and Apple Music. Pitchfork has learned that once again, the album has been updated, redelivered, and is set to resurface on Tidal. Kanye has made several alterations to The Life of Pablo following its initial release. At first, he reworked the lyrics in “Famous.” Then he reintroduced Vic Mensa and Sia to “Wolves” and gave Frank Ocean his own track. He eventually updated the album’s overall mix, tweaking Chance the Rapper’s verse on “Ultralight Beam” and adding background vocals behind the Weeknd’s chorus on “FML.” The album is, as Kanye called it, a “living breathing changing creative expression.” Update (6/14, 10:59 p.m.): The album has resurfaced. The Life of Pablo now ends with a brand new track: “Saint Pablo,” which appears to feature guest vocals from Sampha.
