Kanye West, Chvrches, Bat For Lashes, Haim, Pusha T, Charli XCX Appear on Lorde’s The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Pt. 1 Soundtrack

Lorde has curated the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Pt. 1, the second-to-last installment of the hit film series. It features two previously shared tracks: Lorde’s “Yellow Flicker Beat” and the Chemical Brothers’ “This Is Not a Game”, which features Miguel and Lorde. And now, the soundtrack has been revealed (via iTunes).

Lorde’s track “Flicker” is reworked by Kanye West. Stromae’s “Meltdown” features four huge guests: Lorde, Pusha T, Q-Tip, and Haim. The tracklist also includes music by Chvrches, Bat For Lashes, Charli XCX, Grace Jones, Tinashé, Tove Lo, Raury, and others. Update: Lorde also covers Bright Eyes’ “Ladder Song” on the album.

“Curating the soundtrack for such a hotly-anticipated film was a challenge, but I jumped at the chance,” Lorde said in a press release. “The cast and story are an inspiration for all musicians participating and, as someone with cinematic leanings, being privy to a different creative process has been a unique experience. I think the soundtrack is definitely going to surprise people.”
