Kanye West Out of Hospital: Report

Kanye West was hospitalized on November 21, when he was willingly taken to the UCLA Medical Center “for his own health and safety.” After a week, reports emerged that he was going to remain admitted without a release date because he was “still not stable.” He is now reportedly back home in the care of his wife Kim Kardashian West and his personal physician, TMZ reports. Pitchfork has reached out to West’s representatives for more information.

Following his initial hospitalization, West’s doctor told TMZ that the artist “suffers from temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.” Prior to entering the facility, West canceled the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour. The latest TMZ report notes that Kanye “needs ongoing psychological and medical treatment.”
