Kanye West Playing NYC Shows Tonight Following Governors Ball Cancellation

Tonight, two festivals in New York City were affected by severe weather. The final day of Governors Ball Music Festival was cancelled—the night was to be headlined by Kanye West. Meanwhile, Hot 97′s Summer Jam was forced to shut down one of its stages and performances from Chance the Rapper, Tory Lanez, Desiigner, and Curren$y. But since Summer Jam’s main stage is open and Kanye suddenly had the night free, a solution came together: Kanye is showing up at Hot 97′s Summer Jam. Other performers include Big Sean, Pusha T, A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, Young Thug, Future, Travis Scott, and DJ Khaled. According to Kanye’s collaborator Virgil Abloh, another performance is being planned for 2 a.m. somewhere else in New York. “we’re doing PABLO at 2 am in Manhattan,” he wrote in the since-edited Instagram caption below. “sorting out where now.” Update (6/6, 12:20 a.m.): It looks like the show is going to take place at Webster Hall. In the below video, 2 Chainz says G.O.O.D Music will be performing at the venue starting at 2 a.m. It’s also been confirmed by Abloh.
