Kanye West to Replace Frank Ocean as FYF Fest Headliner

FYF Fest takes place this weekend, August 22 and 23, at Los Angeles’ Sports Arena and Exposition Park. Originally, the festival tapped Frank Ocean and Morrissey as headliners, but tonight brings news of a replacement from festival representatives: “on his own terms”, Ocean has chosen to cancel his August 22 headlining slot. He will be replaced by Kanye West.

In addition to West and Morissey, the FYF lineup includes D’Angelo and the Vanguard, Belle and Sebastian, Mac DeMarco, the Jesus and Mary Chain, Death Grips, Deerhunter, Cold Cave, FKA Twigs, Bloc Party, HEALTH, Lower Dens, Dinosaur Jr., Run the Jewels, Mikal Cronin, Savages, Solange, Thee Oh Sees, Spiritualized, Simian Mobile Disco, Toro Y Moi, Tobias Jesso Jr., Metz, Nicolas Jaar, Neon Indian, Purity Ring, METZ, Evian Christ, Chet Faker, the Drums, Shlohmo, Melody’s Echo Chamber, Tennis, Girlpool, Hop Along, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Alvvays, Battles, Title Fight, and more.
