Kate Bush Performs "Among Angels" at First Show in 35 Years: Video

Tonight, Kate Bush played her first show in 35 years. Pitchfork’s review of the show is forthcoming. Details and a setlist from the show have emerged, as has a distant fan-shot video of her performing the 50 Words for Snow track “Among Angels” (taken despite the pre-announced no cameras policy). According to The Guardian, here’s some of what was involved:

  • dancers in lifejackets wielding axes and chainsaws
  • a large machine hovering over the crowd spewing dry ice
  • huge paper airplanes
  • big sheets made to look like waves
  • Bush “being borne through the audience” by dancers dressed to look like fish people
