Kendrick Lamar, Adele, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande Named to Time's Most Influential List

Time has released its annual list ranking the 100 most influential people in the world. Kendrick Lamar, Adele, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Aziz Ansari, and Hamilton‘s Lin-Manuel Miranda were some of the artists named to the list. Each entrant was written about in an accompanying essay. Lil Wayne wrote about Minaj; Jennifer Lawrence wrote about Adele; activist Alicia Garza wrote about Kendrick; composer Jason Robert Brown wrote about Grande; “Broad City” creators Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson wrote about AnsariStar Wars director J.J. Abrams wrote about Miranda

Of Minaj, Wayne wrote: “She’s reached far beyond everything I would have imagined. Man, she’s so influential and doing all the right things. She’s an icon, a boss and a role model to all these young girls out here on how to do it the right way. Her work ethic speaks volumes and has yielded these results. The scary thing is she’s still going. Ha!”
