Killer Mike Injured During SXSW Attack

On Monday, Run the Jewels were attacked onstage at SXSW by an audience member. During their set at Stubb’s yesterday, Killer Mike told the crowd that he had been diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff, NME reports.
Following the incident, he flew to Atlanta to see his doctor, who advised him to wear a sling. Mike refused. “I was like, ‘Doctor, I’m not leaving the road,’” he said. “The tour goes on!”
Before they performed “Banana Clipper”, El-P said, “Last time we did this song, it was interrupted. Let’s not let that happen again.” Killer Mike added, ”If you interrupt this song, we’ll beat the fuck out of you.”
