KRS-One Honors A Tribe Called Quest’s Phife Dawg With "The Phife Tribute"

Following the death of A Tribe Called Quest‘s Phife Dawg, tributes poured in from artists including Kanye West, D’Angelo, OutKast, the Roots, Chuck D, Chance the Rapper, and tons of others. KRS-One has shared his latest tribute to the rapper, “The Phife Tribute” (above). The track, produced by DJ Static, is available to purchase here—all donations go directly to Phife’s family. He also challenged other artists to do the same: “Calling all emcees! To spit a 16 bar! In honor of Phife Dawg!” KRS-One also freestyled at the recent Phife tribute event at the Apollo Theater in Harlem; watch that happen below.
