Kurt Cobain Art Exhibition Planned

The New York Times has a profile on Jeff Jampol, who runs a company that manages the estates of several deceased musicians such as Janis Joplin, and the members of the Ramones and the Doors. Jambol is also involved with the estate of the late Kurt Cobain, whose work he said is “going to be relevant for centuries.” He said he was working with Frances Bean Cobain and Courtney Love to put together a touring exhibition of “Kurt’s works and his art and his possessions.” He added: “He’s got some amazing canvases that a lot of the world has never seen or even heard of.”

Over the years, Cobain’s work has been exhibited in various forms. Nirvana memorabilia is displayed at the EMP Museum in Seattle, while photos of Cobain’s belongings were displayed in Los Angeles. A documentary about his life, Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, was released last year.
