Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett Recording Together

Kurt Vile and Courney Barnett have been teasing a collaboration on social media, uploading photos of themselves in the studio. Now, Australia-based recording facility Newmarket Studios has revealed the duo are working on a “forthcoming compilation,” as Triple J points out. While full details of collaborators attached to the project are scarce, the studio notes that producer/engineer Callum John Barter is involved. Vile’s last album, the excellent b’lieve i’m goin down, arrived in 2015. Barnett’s breakout debut Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit was released that same year.
