Kurt Vile and Cyndi Lauper Cover the Rolling Stones’ "As Tears Go By"

In the past week, Kurt Vile has covered Neil Young with Dinosaur Jr., the Velvet Underground with Kim Gordon and Steve Gunn, and Bob Dylan with Woods. Last night, he appeared at Cyndi Lauper‘s annual “Home for the Holidays” benefit concert for her True Colors Fund to help homeless LGBT youth. He teamed up with Lauper to perform her song “Money Changes Everything” and the Rolling Stones’ “As Tears Go By”. Watch below via Stereogum.

In 2012, Lauper was joined by St. Vincent, Sleigh Bells’ Alexis Krauss, and Rosie O’Donnell for “Girls Just Want to Have Fun”.
