Kurt Vile is recording his new album, the follow-up to 2013′s Wakin on a Pretty DazeIt’s called All Over the Place, according to Rolling Stone.  Update: Per Vile’s management, the album does not have a title.

Vile has been working with Warpaint drummer Stella Mozgawa, sound artist Farmer Dave Scher, and producer Rob Scnapf (Beck’s Mellow Gold, Elliott Smith’s Either/Or). They’ve been recording in Brooklyn, California, and Athens, Georgia.

“It’s definitely got that night vibe,” Vile told Rolling Stone. “KV’s Night Life — it’s my sequel to Donald Fagen’s The Nightfly.”

No formal release date has been scheduled, though Vile said he hopes to release the record in autumn.
