Lana Del Rey's Next Album Is Called Honeymoon

Lana Del Rey is a favorite to be nominated for an Academy Award, thanks to the two songs she sang for Tim Burton’s new movieBig Eyes. (The title track is up for a Golden Globe.) In the meantime, she’s already planning the follow up to last year’s Ultraviolence album. In an interview with Billboard, she revealed the name of her next LP will be Honeymoon, and that she’s already written nine songs for it.

The production on four of those nine is “perfect,” she said. She also added: “I’m looking for a few more songs to tie everything together.” According to her, it sounds “very different” from Ultraviolence but “similar” to 2012′s Born to Die

“It’s growing into something I really like,” she said. “I’m kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one. It’s been good.” Additionally, she plans to include a cover of “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”, which was made popular by Nina Simone (as was “The Other Woman”, which Del Rey covered on Ultraviolence).

Big Eyes is out right now.
