LCD Soundsystem Play “Call the Police” on “SNL”: Watch

LCD Soundsystem were the musical guests on “Saturday Night Live” earlier tonight. On the Chris Pine-hosted episode, James Murphy and company performed “Call the Police,” a new track released earlier this week. Check out the performance below. The band also performedAmerican Dream,” which also debuted this week. Both songs will appear on their forthcoming comeback record for Columbia, the follow-up to 2010’s This is Happening. Murphy recently took to Facebook to write about the album’s upcoming release, which does not have an official date yet. LCD Soundsystem will replace Frank Ocean’s headlining spot at Sasquatch! Festival later this month.

In addition to LCD Soundsystem’s new music, band member Tyler Pope recently released a new single through his Interference Pattern label. The song is called “L.Y.G.” and it’s a collaboration between Pope and Mandre (aka Mario Andreoni from !!!) and Telepathe’s Melissa Livaudais. Listen to it here.

LCD Soundsystem will headline Pitchfork Music Festival 2017 with A Tribe Called Quest and Solange. The festival takes place in Chicago’s Union Park from July 14–16. Get tickets here.
