Lil Wayne Says Cash Money Refuses to Release Tha Carter V, Wants Off Label

Lil Wayne‘s long-delayed album Tha Carter V was supposed to come out December 9. Now, Wayne has said the album isn’t coming out as scheduled—but that it’s not his fault. Today on Twitter, he blamed his record label, Cash Money, and co-founder Bryan Williams (aka Baby and Birdman). He also stated his desire to leave Cash Money, with whom he’s been associated for his entire career.

To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won’t and hasn’t been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it.
