Lincoln Center to Host Leonard Cohen Memorial

Lincoln Center has announced a Leonard Cohen memorial that will take place on December 5 from 12 p.m to 4 p.m. The event is an “informal gathering” at the outdoor Hearst Plaza, and will feature “recordings of Cohen’s vast body of work, chosen by friends and fans,” according to a description on the Lincoln Center’s website. There will not be any speakers or live performances at the event, which takes place rain or shine. Find more information here.

Earlier this week, San Francisco’s the Chapel hosted a Leonard Cohen tribute show that featured Mark Kozelek, Christopher Owens, and more. Since Cohen’s passing passing on November 7, numerous artists, including Justin Timberlake, Beck, Lana Del Rey, and Car Seat Headrest, have paid tribute to Cohen.
