Listen to Car Seat Headrest’s “Simlish” Version of “Not What I Needed"

Car Seat Headrest has shared a new version of Teens of Denial’s “Not What I Needed.” The remix of the track features Will Toledo singing the song in “Simlish,” the language used in “The Sims” video game series. The “Simlish” remix of “Not What I Needed” appears in the soundtrack for the latest game in the series, “The Sims 4: City Living.” Listen to the song below.

Just before the release of Teens of Denial, a copyright issue with the Cars’ Ric Ocasek over an unauthorized sample of “Just What I Needed” caused vinyl copies of the album to be pulled from shelves and destroyed. Earlier this month, Car Seat Headrest performed a cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Field Commander Cohen” at a show. Read our Icebreaker interview with Car Seat Headrest.
