Listen to Kathleen Hanna Cover Bruce Springsteen’s "Dancing in the Dark"

Kathleen Hanna has covered Bruce Springsteen‘s song “Dancing in the Dark” for the soundtrack to the upcoming film Maggie’s Plan. (She’s accompanied by actor Tommy Buck on the track.) Hanna also makes a cameo appearance in the film, which is directed by Rebecca Miller and starring Greta Gerwig, Ethan Hawke, Julianne Moore, Maya Rudolph, and Bill Heder. Maggie’s Plan opens in theaters this Friday; the soundtrack album, which also features Springsteen’s original and music by Peaking Lights, the Skatalites, and others, is also out Friday.

Recently, Hanna’s band the Julie Ruin announced their second studio album, Hit Reset.
