Killer Mike was the guest on the latest episode of Hannibal Burress’ “Handsome Rambler” podcast. It was recorded live at Atlanta’s Laughing Skull Lounge on 4/20 (Mike’s birthday). Listen to the full podcast below. During the episode, Mike talks about why he’d make a terrible Mayor (holding meetings in strip clubs), probes some Atlanta conspiracy theories, retells the Run the Jewels origin story, and opens up about how he and Big Boi were originally supposed to be raccoons for their appearance on HBO’s “Animals” before he shut it down (“We ended up being foxes because I sent a note back saying, ‘Dear White Friends of Mine, never ask your fucking black friends to play a raccoon in any fourth grade play or television production’”). Comedian Al Jackson was also a guest. Past “Handsome Rambler” guests include Flying Lotus, Thundercat, and Joey Purp.
