Listen to Nicolas Jaar’s Remix of Kanye West’s "Blood on the Leaves"

In 2014, Los Angeles County Museum of Art commissioned a piece about artist Barbara Kruger for its ART+FILM series. “Picturing Barbara Kruger” first showed at the museum’s 2014 ART+FILM Gala honoring Kruger. It then got a public premiere at last year’s SXSW. In the short film, Kruger narrates about her process and history over a montage of her work and a score by Nicolas Jaar. For the soundtrack, Jaar remixed Kanye West‘s 2013 Yeezus track “Blood on the Leaves.” Apparently, Kruger, herself, requested West’s music for the piece. Kanye West plans to release his long-awaited Yeezus follow-up tomorrow, Thursday, February 11. He renamed it once again, too. It’s now called The Life of Pablo. It will premiere at an event at Madison Square Garden.
