Listen to the Internet’s Syd’s New Song “Treading Water”

Syd has released a new song on her SoundCloud. It’s called “Treading Water”; listen to it below. In a tweet announcing the new track, the Internet frontwoman revealed that the song a favorite that was originally intended for her debut album Fin but she “had to cut it.” It’s produced by Steve Lacy and Ronald “Flip Colson,” and as The FADER points out, the same instrumental was used for Big Sean and Jhené Aiko’s TWENTY88 song “Selfish.” Earlier this month, she and her bandmates wrapped up a tour that featured each of the group’s members playing solo sets.
