Lollapalooza Announces Berlin Festival

Along with its annual festival in Chicago, Lollapalooza also now hosts fests in Chile, Brazil, and Argentina. Now, the company has announced it will head to Europe. Lollapalooza Berlin will take place next year from September 12-13 at Tempelhof Airport (which has not been an actual airport since 2008).

The Lollapalooza Berlin fest will be run by the company Festival Republic, which also books two UK festivals, Reading and Leeds.

In a press release, Lolla founder and Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell said, “Berlin’s energy, vibrant art, fashion and music scenes are a mirror reflection of what Lollapalooza is all about and I can’t wait to share in this cultural exchange.”

Last year, Lollapalooza was set to expand to Tel Aviv, but that festival was postponed indefinitely.
