Mac DeMarco Shares New Demo "Rollin Like a Dummy," Plots New Music

Mac DeMarco has shared “Rollin Like A Dummy,” a previously-unshared 4-track demo track dating back to sessions for his 2012 album 2. The musician dropped off a WeTransfer link to the demo on the Mac DeMarco subreddit last night, NME points out. Get it here. “Everybody’s always asking for a recording of this song, so I’m finally getting around to it,” DeMarco wrote in an accompanying post, which he signed as the Star Wars character Jar Jar Binks. The musician also claims that a final version of the track exists, but “never made it out of tape land and onto the computer.” Elsewhere in the post, Mac revealed that he’s working on new music—a development he went on to qualify with his usual wit. “I just had penis enlargement surgery so my balance is all out of whack and I can’t play my drums properly right now,” he explained, “but soon enough I’ll get used to this new piece.” His last release, the mini-album Another One, came out last year.
