Madlib and DOOM Share New Track “Avalanche,” Release Madvillain Action Figure: Listen

Madlib and DOOM have teamed up once again. Their track “Avalanche” is out now on 7” vinyl via Madlib’s label Madlib Invazion. The track, released under their own names rather than the collaborative Madvillain moniker, can also be streamed below. A clip of “Avalanche” has been floating around for years, but this is the first time it has been officially released in full. 

The “Avalanche” 7” accompanies the release of a new eight-inch-tall Madvillain figure, which you can see below. It was created by the team behind Kid Robot’s Madvillain action figure, which sold out in one day. Pick up the single and figure here.

The figurine’s gold case functions as such, with a removable lid and storage compartment; use it for “well, whatever you can fit in there,” the press release advises.

Madvillain released their excellent debut album in 2004 and have been mostly quiet since. In 2008, Madlib put a series of new beats to DOOM’s Madvillainy verses to create a kind-of sequel. In 2012, DOOM claimed the actual follow-up was “almost done.” Recently, DOOM resurrected his King Geedorah persona for a new mix.
