This afternoon on Twitter, El-P shared a few more details about Meow the Jewels, the Kickstarter-funded project that remixes last year’s Run the Jewels 2 using cat noises. He said it’ll receive a free digital release along with a limited edition vinyl release, and that it’ll be available on streaming services. He also said that “if all goes right,” the album will be released in September.

Additionally, he confirmed that 100% of the profits will be going to charities that benefit victims of police brutality. “we are locking in the exact charitable organizations now and will announce soon,” he wrote.

El-P also announced another contributor to the project: Massive Attack. Previously, they previewed tracks produced by Boots, the Alchemist, and Dan the AutomatorZola Jesus, Just Blaze, Baauer, and Portishead’s Geoff Barrow are also involved.

Run the Jewels also shared the latest episode of “WRTJ”, their weekly show for Apple Music’s Beats 1. Check that out below.
