Merge Records to Pay Tribute to David Bowie, Brian Eno, Philip Glass with Concert

Merge Records has announced a one-off concert at the University of North Carolina titled “Heroes Tribute: A Celebration of the Music of Philip Glass, David Bowie, and Brian Eno.” The show will take place on February 3, 2017. In honor of Glass’ 80th birthday, the UNC Symphony Orchestra will perform “Symphony No. 4, ‘Heroes,’’ the composer’s interpretation of Bowie’s album of the same name, which was co-written with Eno. The night is also set to include performances of “Heroes” tracks from Destroyer‘s Dan Bejar, Merge co-founder Mac McCaughan, Wye Oak‘s Jenn Wasner, and more.
